The dashboard below shows the results of testing of Amherst College faculty, 工作人员, and students who are being tested routinely on campus. The data are updated every business day. 另请参阅 our data archive for July 13, 2020–July 31, 2021. We also provide a text-based accessible dashboard.

Vaccination: All students, faculty, and 工作人员 must be fully vaccinated in order to return to campus. The only exceptions are those granted on medical or religious grounds. Find information about how to verify your vaccine 约 vaccine exemptions.

Data Glossary

Active Cases: The total number of people in the on-campus College community with active 新型冠状病毒肺炎 infection. This includes those people living or working on campus who have received a positive test result elsewhere, such as at their doctor's office or another testing site.

Positive Tests: Total number of positive PCR tests collected at the College's Testing Center since August 1, 2021.

Total Tests: Total number of PCR tests collected at the College's Testing Center since August 1, 2021.

Positivity Rate: The sum of positive 新型冠状病毒肺炎 PCR tests divided by the total number of tests collected (over the past 14 days).

Test Turnaround Time: The average time between when each PCR test is collected and the time that a result is determined for that test (over the past 7 days). 

Positivity Rate Trend Comparison: The positivity rates for Amherst College, Massachusetts, and the United States update daily. The positivity rate for Hampshire County updates weekly.

Antigen Testing: The College conducts limited antigen testing for people returning to the campus community after a time away. These antigen tests are paired with a PCR test, but are not included in this data.

Available Isolation Space: The number of available 新型冠状病毒肺炎 isolation rooms divided by the total number of isolation rooms.
Note: Separate dedicated space exists for students who are under the care of 健康 Services while the nature of their illness is being determined through testing (e.g. seasonal flu, mono, strep throat, etc. vs. 新型冠状病毒肺炎). These spaces are not used for housing students with confirmed 新型冠状病毒肺炎 infection and are not included in the isolation data. If a student under observation tests positive for 新型冠状病毒肺炎, they will be moved into a 新型冠状病毒肺炎 isolation room.

Students in Isolation: The number of students with active 新型冠状病毒肺炎 infection isolating in College-provided isolation housing. (Found in the Tooltip for "Available Isolation Space".)

Available Quarantine Space: The number of available quarantine rooms divided by the total number of quarantine rooms.

Students in Quarantine: The number of students identified via the College’s contact tracing program as having been in close contact with someone with active 新型冠状病毒肺炎 infection and are quarantining in College-provided housing. (Found in the Tooltip for "Available Quarantine Space".)
